Collaborating With IBM, Samsung Presents Emergency Service Network Solutions In UK

JAKARTA Samsung announced that they are now partnering with IBM in providing critical mission solutions (MCX) for the UK Headquarters. This mission was created to improve communication systems.

Through this partnership, Samsung will strengthen the company's business growth in the region as part of the Emergency Service Network (ESN). The South Korean company will use the virtualized RAN (vRAN) and Open RAN technology to successfully expand the business of multigenerational commercial networks.

According to Samsung, cooperation with IBM is part of the company's commitment to advancing critical mission networks globally. They are also trying to support government agencies in various countries in order to maintain public security.

In the UK, Samsung will provide a reliable and smooth ESN to more than 300,000 first respondents in the UK. Samsung will also support an important core communication system with MCX solutions honed from the successful implementation of the national public safety network in the US and South Korea.

"The essence of this collaboration is Samsung's undisputed technology competence, in addition to the strong trust we have gained with the successful implementation of important solutions around the world," said European Vice President and Head of Samsung Network Everth Flores.

On the other hand, IBM says that this collaboration is very important because communication can strengthen the country's security. Therefore, IBM is proud to be able to support ESN to provide a communication platform that remains secure and resilient to empower emergency services.

"In collaboration with our ecosystem partners, we will provide a very important service for the first responders to improve safety in our community across the UK," said Rahul Kalia, UK and Irish IBM Managing Partner.
