Funeral Of Prince Philip, Mass Presided By The Archbishop Of Canterbury And Dean Of Windsor

JAKARTA - The United Kingdom held a funeral ceremony for the late Prince Philip Mountbatten at the St. Chapel. George at Windsor Castle, Saturday 17 April.

Prince Philip's coffin is covered with oversized flags that symbolize Greece, Denmark as Prince Philip's family line, the City of Edinburgh Coat of Arms, and the Navy Crown which symbolizes his career in the Navy.

A Navy hat and sword rested on Prince Philip's casket. The crates were transported in a Land Rover Defender car ordered and specially designed by the late Prince Philip.

Arriving at the Chapel of Sts. George, the body was greeted with a whistle and a line of honor before being unloaded from the hearse, considering that the late Prince Philip was a high-ranking officer of the British Navy.

Prince Philip's body was carried into the Chapel of Sts. George was carried by eight royal officers, followed by all his children led by Prince Charles and grandchildren and relatives behind him. The whistle of honor was sounded again, before the body was brought into the Chapel of Sts. George.

The funeral was presided over by the spiritual leader of the Anglican Church, Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby along with Dean of Windsor David Conner. The Mass was attended only by the royal core of 30 people
