Busui Bridge Collapsed By Cement Transport Truck, East Kalimantan-South Kalimantan Traffic Completely Paralyzed
JAKARTA - Busui Bridge, located in Busui Village, Batu Sopang District, Paser Regency, East Kalimantan (Kaltim), collapsed after being hit by a cement truck on Thursday morning, January 16.
This incident caused the cross section connecting East Kalimantan with South Kalimantan (South Kalimantan) to be completely paralyzed.
Head of the East Kalimantan National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) Hendro Satrio Muhammad Kamaludin explained the chronology of the accident.
Based on his statement, the cement truck with the number plate KT8963 WR drove from the direction of South Kalimantan with full cargo.
When they were about to cross the Busui Bridge, the truck suddenly lost control and immediately hit the bridge foundation.
"At around 00.40 WITA, the capsule truck hit the bridge, causing it to be damaged and broken on the bridge," Hendro said in a statement to reporters, Thursday, January 16.
The paralysis of the Trans Kalimantan route made police officers divert the flow of vehicles to Hauling Tambang Street.
"The traffic flow is diverted from KM 40+000 (Hauling Line) to KM 44+000 (Gunung Raja) along 4 kilometers," he added.

Not much information was provided by Hendro. However, he said, currently handling efforts are being discussed. "The option of handling efforts is being discussed," he added.
It is known that two people were carrying cement trucks, namely a driver and a kernet.
When they hit the foundations of the Busui Bridge, both of them were trapped in the truck and are currently being evacuated.
