21 Fire Trucks Deployed To Glodok Plaza Tamansari, Fire Allegedly Coming From Discotheque

A total of 21 fire engines were deployed to the Glodok Plaza Tamansari fire site, West Jakarta.

Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service, Satriadi Gunawan, said the fire was reported at 21.22 WIB, Wednesday, January 15. It is suspected that the fire came from the Glodok Plaza discotheque.

The fire is still ongoing. The flames were seen rising into the sky.

Based on a video shared by the @jnofluffy X (Twitter) account, the fire seemed to eat the top of the building. Black smoke soared high into the air.

A number of residents were also seen watching the fire from a distance.
