Ketum GP Ansor: Sweeping Gambling In Asahan Incidental Incident
JAKARTA - General Chairperson of the Ansor Youth Movement (GP Ansor) Addin Jauharudin said the sweeping carried out by members in Asahan Regency, North Sumatra, was an incidental incident.
"It was actually an incident. So initially it was holding a parade because there were many gambling in the community. Only in the middle of the road there was an incident that suddenly one or two friends left the line," said Addin as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 15.
Previously, the sweeping action carried out by GP Ansor members went viral on social media. The place that was sweeping was suspected to be a gambling location.
Although the action was incidental, Addin did not justify the move. This incident will be an evaluation for the organization so that all members of GP Ansor do not act rashly in responding to a matter.
"This is also our control, becoming an evaluation, so that everyone does not rashly take action," he said.
He also ensured that GP Ansor did not provide any direction to the sweeping action.
"There is no (direction from the center)," he said.

Meanwhile, PBNU Chairman Ahmad Suaedy said sweeping was not justified. If there are people who receive reports related to disturbing matters, then they should report to the security forces.
"If it is true (sweeping), yes, it must be corrected. So if it is true that there is sweeping, anyone must be reminded that they must cooperate with the police," said Ahmad Suaedy.
