Elected West Java Cagub Urges Satpol PP To Investigate Illegal Mines In Subang
JAKARTA - Candidate for the elected governor of West Java (Jabar) 2024 Dedi Mulyadi urged the Satpol PP and the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of West Java to immediately step down to investigate allegations of illegal mining in Kasomalang District, Subang Regency.
"Head of Satpol PP and ESDM must immediately go to the field. Search for who owns it, and how long it has been carrying out this illegal mining," said Dedi by telephone, Tuesday, January 15, quoted by Antara.
Dedi said the alleged illegal mining was detrimental to the state and society. Moreover, he said, large vehicles carrying mining products always cross major roads that are provincial roads, and there are even a number of road points that are quickly damaged.
"Every day the trucks carrying the illegal mining products pass through the big provincial road, there are even a number of damaged points," he said.
He hopes that the relevant parties will immediately take action against the illegal mining.
"I have not been appointed governor. However, I am disappointed with the performance of all of you (related parties in the West Java Provincial Government) who do not have sensitivity," said Dedi.
During his leadership as governor later, Dedi wants officials within the West Java Provincial Government to have high social sensitivity.
"Under my leadership, this cannot happen later. You (Head of Satpol PP and Head of West Java ESDM) must immediately go to the field (illegal mining location). Search for who owns it, and how long it has been illegal mining," he said.
He also hopes that officials within the West Java Provincial Government will work with full sensitivity and often to the field.
"So, it's not just working behind a desk or in an office. Immediately go down to the field," said Dedi.
