PPP's Policy Of Frequently Controversy, Remind Ministers To Not Burdens Jokowi
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) is back in the spotlight. After the controversy over the disappearance of religious phrases in the draft national education roadmap (PJPN), the ministry led by Nadiem Makarim has once again received the spotlight regarding its policies.
Namely, the elimination of Pancasila and Indonesian language courses in Government Regulation (PP) No. 57 of 2021. In Article 40 paragraph 3 of this PP, Pancasila is not listed as a subject, while Indonesian is not explicitly written, it is only called language.
As the discourse of a cabinet reshuffle blew, PPP as a coalition party reminded cabinet ranks not to constantly create political burdens and room for prejudice against President Jokowi and his government.
Deputy Chairman of PPP, Arsul Sani, assessed that there should be good coordination between ministries and agencies on matters that are sensitive or attract public attention. Such as controversial policies.
"Of course, this can be started in a cabinet meeting or a coordination meeting under the Coordinating Ministry. I am sure that in this way, the synchronization and harmonization of policies or regulations will be better," said Arsul, Saturday, April 17.
According to him, this synchronization and harmonization problem arises because of the low level of coordination between related ministries and government agencies. Although there is a coordinating ministry (kemenko), the high level of coordination as expected has not yet been created.
"As an example of this low level of coordination, the case of not listing Pancasila and Indonesian as subjects (college, red) in Article 40 of Government Regulation No. 57 of 2021. Whereas in Article 35 of Law No. 12 of 2012 concerning Pancasila and Language Higher Education Indonesia is included in the higher education curriculum, "said the deputy chairman of the MPR.
Arsul said, there must be better coordination between ministries in preparing PP 57/2021. Among them, Kemendikbud as the initiator, Kemenkumham as coordinator of Government legislation and the State Secretariat as the last door before a regulation product is signed by the President.
"So the point of view that sees the unsynchronized and harmonious PP above with its laws can be prevented. If everything is in sync, the political burden and space suudzone from elements of society will be significantly minimized automatically, Arsul concluded.
