Depok City Government Allocates IDR 7 Billion Budget To Repair Ambles Road At GDC

JAKARTA - The Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (DPUPR) of Depok City, West Java, has allocated a budget of Rp. 7 billion to repair subsidence roads on Jalan Boulevard Grand Depok City (GDC).

As reported by Antara, Saturday, April 17, the Head of DPUPR Depok City, Dadan Rustandi, in his statement on Saturday said that his party was conducting an auction for the supervisory consultant, then only the job auction. The budget is IDR 7 billion.

He said, the work would be carried out after the completion of the auction process. With the target to be completed this year.

"Hopefully there are no obstacles in the auction process and the process will be carried out so that road users can immediately use it," he said.

Dadan also advised motorists who often crossed the road, to look for alternative routes. The reason is, this location is temporarily enforced contraflow and there are road cracks.

"We have installed signs and police lines so that motorists remain careful when crossing the subsidence site," he said.

Earlier on Monday, April 12, Jalan Boulevard, Grand Depok City (GDC), Depok City, West Java, or to be precise, in front of the Depok City Fire and Rescue Office, collapsed after continuous rain for several days.

The road subsidence is suspected to have been caused by the erosion of the water from the river under the road. The road collapsed due to the heavy rainfall on Monday, April 12, causing it to erode under the road. The length of the road that has been eroded by landslides is more than 10 meters long.
