20 Police Completed KKEP Trial On Extortion Of DWP, 2 Recently In 8 Years Of Demotion Sanctions
JAKARTA - The National Police's Professional and Security Division (Propam) has again held a trial of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) regarding the extortion of dozens of police against spectators of the Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) 2024. This time, there are two suspected violators, namely HK and JA.
"After further investigation, two suspected violators were also named involved in the DWP case," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division, Kombes Erdi Adrimulan Chaniago in his statement, Monday, January 13.
When referring to the Telegram Letter (ST) issued by Polda Metro Jaya with the number ST/429/XII/KEP.2024, the identity of HK is strongly suspected to be Brigadier Hendy Kurniawan as a former member of the Central Jakarta Metro Police.
Meanwhile, JA is believed to be Iptu Jemi Ardianto, who is the former Head of Narcotics Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police.
In the KKEP trial, both were found guilty of being involved in a series of extortion of the 2024 DWP audience.
"Violators have arrested 2 Malaysian foreigners at the DWP event at Jiexpo Kemayoran who is suspected of drug abuse," he said.
"However, during the process of applying for rehabilitation of drug abuse perpetrators, it was not carried out through the Integrated Assessment Team (TAT) and there was a request for money in return for release," Erdi continued.
Both were also sanctioned in the form of placement in a special place (patsus) of the Provos Division of the National Police Propam Division for 30 days. In addition, punishment is also in the form of mutations in the context of demotion.
"The mutation is demotional for 8 years placed outside the function of law enforcement," said Erdi.

Currently, 20 policemen have been tried internally. Three of them are Kombes Donald Parlaungan Simanjuntak, AKP Yudhy Triananta Syaeful, and AKBP Malvino Edward Yusticia, all of whom were sentenced to dishonorable dismissal or dismissal (PTDH).
In addition, Kompol Dzul Fadlan, Iptu SM, AKP Fauzan, and S received a demotion sanction for 8 years.
Brigadier FRS, Aiptu Armadi Juli Marasi Gultom, Bripka Wahyu Tri Haryanto, Brigadier Dwi Wicaksono, Brigadier D, and Bripka Ready Pratama, and Kompol Jamalinus Profit Pandapotan Nababan were sentenced to 5 years of demotion.
Then, AKP RH, Bripka RS, Ipda W and Iptu AS were tried on Friday, January 10.
