Tom Hamilton Calls Aerosmith Comeback Depending On Steven Tyler
JAKARTA - Bassist Aerosmith, Tom Hamilton is back to talk about the possibility of his band doing music activities in the future, after announcing retirement from the music scene in August 2024.
As is known, Aerosmith declared his retirement from the music stage due to a vocal injury suffered by Steven Tyler.
The decision was taken due to Tyler's unfavorable condition of singing on stage, due to a fracture during his September 2023 appearance.
Currently, Hamilton says Tyler has gone through a series of healing efforts, and the progress is getting better. However, the decision to return to stage is still a big question.
" Steven's healing process is going very, very well, but running at its own pace. Maybe Aerosmith will do something in the future, but that's a big question," Tom Hamilton said in a recent interview with WBUR.
The 73-year-old bassist's position is clear, he wants to get back on stage with Aerosmith. However, the decision really depends on Tyler as a frontman.

"And the last thing I want to do is try and push Steven in that direction. If we do something in the future, it will come from him," he said.
Previously, Hamilton expressed his hope to return to music with Aerosmith. Although the tour seemed difficult to do, he saw that there were other musical activities that could be done together.
"On the expectation scale, I was between 7 and 9 (out of 10). We won't be doing any tours from now on, but I will always hope that other types of opportunities will come," said the bassist.
This isn't the first time black clouds have appeared on our horizon and somehow the sun has appeared. Time and hope are the only ones we have right now," he concluded.
