Former Head Of The Railway Engineering Center In Semarang Admits Receiving Deposit Money From PPK
The former head of the Central Java Railway Engineering Center (BTP) in Semarang admitted that he received a certain amount of operational money from a commitment-making official (PPK) sourced from project contractors in the working area.
This confession was revealed at the trial of the alleged corruption case with the defendant PPK BTP Central Java Yofi Okatriza at the Semarang Corruption Court (Tipikor).
Former Head of BTP Yuwono Wiarco admitted that he received a total of Rp260 million during his tenure at the hall from 2017 to 2018.
He referred to the money from the PPK as monthly operating funds.
"The monthly operating funds are not given every month. They are given when they meet at an office meeting," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, January 13.
In his testimony, Yuwono denied receiving Rp1.6 billion from PPK when he was retired as head of the hall.
The deposit money from the PPK was also received by former Head of BTP Joko Prahoro.
Joko, who had not served for one year from 2018 to 2019, admitted that he had received Rp200 million from the PPK.
"Four times he received, each Rp50 million," he said. In addition, he also received a luxury watch from the defendant Yofi Okatriza.

He confirmed that the money and goods he received came from deposits from project implementing contractors at the Directorate General of Railways.
Previously, the former PPK of the Central Java Railway Engineering Center,Yofi Okatriza, received a bribe of Rp55.6 billion from dozens of project implementing contractors in the Purwokerto area and its surroundings from 2017 to 2020.
In addition to money, the defendant also received a gift in the form of goods with a value of Rp. 1.9 billion.
