Malaysian Residents Become Victims Of Bombings At The Thai Police Station, Car Parking 10 Meters From The Crime Scene
JAKARTA - A Malaysian citizen (WN) became a victim of a bomb that exploded near the Pattani police station in Muang District, Thailand on Monday, January 13 morning.
The man from Kuala Lumpur was in the car waiting for his wife who submitted a report on the missing travel documents at the police station when the explosion occurred.
"The victim's car was only about 10 meters from the site of the explosion, so the windshield was broken due to the impact of the explosion," said Mueang Pattani Police Chief Colonel Jeffery Sulaiman at the scene on Monday, quoted by Bernama.
The 20-year-old victim suffered injuries from broken glass from the bomb explosion.
The bomb explosion near the Pattani police station also caused casualties from officers.
Bangkokpost reported that as many as 10 members of the paramilitary police or volunteer defense were injured by the bomb that exploded not far from the Park Pattani kindergarten (TK) building.
Jeffery said the entire victim was taken to Pattani Hospital for treatment.
"The police are intensively investigating to hunt down the perpetrators," he said.
