East Java Police Deploy A Team To Investigate The Cause Of The Elpiji Explosion In Mojokerto That Killed Mother And Baby
The East Java Regional Police deployed a joint team to investigate the cause of the explosion of a number of houses in Sumolawang Village, Puri District, Mojokerto Regency.
"The team we sent consisted of Inafis Reskrim, Forensic Laboratory, and Forensic Medicine," said Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Dirmanto, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, January 13.
Dirmanto said the team was deployed to determine the exact cause of the explosion allegedly due to the leakage of the LPG cylinder.
As a result of the LPG explosion, two people died, namely a mother and her baby, and damaged a number of houses.
"Our team drove to the location to process the crime scene (TKP), let the police chief submit the next information," he said.
The location of the house is in Sumolawang Village, Puri District, Mojokerto Regency. "The explosion was around 09.00 WIB", said Imam, a local resident.
Mojokerto Police Chief AKBP Ihram Kustarto said that in the TKP processing, it was known that there were 3 kilograms of LPG cylinders and also a number of electronic goods, because from information, the owner of this house likes playing with electronic goods.
"We also inform that it is true that the owner of the house is a member of the police at the Dlanggu Police and has a house in Puri," he added.
He said that the owner of the house is currently being investigated at Propam for further investigation, including from the internal Satreskrim.
