Ministry Of Trade Says Pinang To Tapioka Can Be Stored In SRG Warehouse

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) added that five commodities can be stored in warehouses in the Warehouse Receipt System Program (SRG). The five commodities are so that, karagenan, mocaf, betel nut, and tapioka.

The Minister of Trade (Mendag) Budi Sanstoso said, with this addition, the total type of commodity that can be stored in the SRG warehouse will be 27 types.

This provision is contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Trade (Permendag) Number 1 of 2025 concerning the Third Amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of Trade Number 33 of 2020 concerning Goods and Requirements for Goods that can be stored in the Warehouse Receipt System.

Furthermore, Budi said, the Regulation of the Minister of Trade (Permendag) Number 1 of 2025 will take effect on January 8, 2025.

"Permendag Number 1 of 2025 aims to increase optimization of the use of SRG in supporting productivity from agricultural, plantation, marine and derivative commodities," he said in an official statement, Monday, January 13.

In addition, continued Budi, this Permendag aims to maintain the quality and stability of selling prices. The Permendag also aims to increase commodity economic value, both in the domestic market and in export destinations.

Budi added that the addition of the type of commodity that can be stored in the SRG warehouse was carried out taking into account the recommendations of local governments, related agencies, and commodity associations.

"This change still pays attention to the requirements stipulated in the Minister of Trade Regulation Number 33 of 2020," he said.

The requirements stipulated in Permendag 33/2020 are contained in Article 3. These requirements, namely having a shelf life of at least three months, meeting certain quality standards, and meeting the minimum number of commodities stored.

For your information, Permendag 1/2025 is the third amendment to Permendag 33/2020.

The second change is stated in Permendag 24/2023 and stipulates that the number of commodities that can be stored is 22 types.

While the first change, namely Permendag 14/2021, stipulates that the number of commodities that can be stored is 12 types.
