India Open 2025: 6 Indonesian Representatives Appear
JAKARTA Indonesia only has six representatives who will play at the India Open 2025 this week. Only the women's doubles sector did not send their representatives there.
The Super 750 BWF level tournament is scheduled to take place on January 14-16, 2025 at K. D. Jadhav Indoor Stadium. The total prize provided was US$950 thousand or Rp15.4 billion.
This will be a debutant tournament for two mixed doubles pairs that have just been reshuffled, namely Rinov Rivaldy/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati and Dejan Ferdinansyah/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.
Previously, Rinov was paired with Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, Lisa duet with Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto, Dejan with Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja, and Fadia with Apriyani Rahayu.
In this latest composition, Fadia even plays in two sectors at once. Apart from Dejan in the mixed doubles, she also plays in the women's doubles with Lanny Tria Mayasari.
Lanny/Fadia previously played at the Malaysia Open 2025 last week with eight other Indonesian representatives. However, none of them managed to bring home the title.

Thus, the India Open 2025 is an opportunity for Indonesia to make up for bad results in Malaysia. In addition, in the last three editions at the India Open, Indonesia also has zero titles.
The last time Red-White raised a title was there in 2019 through the women's doubles pair who won the Olympic gold medal, Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu.
Two editions after that were not held due to the corona virus. Then three editions later, Indonesia's best achievement was one runner-up through Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan in the 2022 edition.
The other four Indonesian representatives who took part in the 2025 India Open were Jonatan Christie, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, and Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.
