Free Nutrition Food In Jakarta Now Increases To 105 Schools
JAKARTA - The government has added a number of nutritional fulfillment service units (SPPG) to serve the free nutritious food program (MBG) in Jakarta today. There are 7 new SPPGs that distribute 64 schools as of Monday, January 13.
"The results of the coordination that the 7 new SPPGs are ready to start implementing the MBG starting January 13, 2025," Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office Sarjoko told reporters, Monday, January 13.
Since January 6, there have been 4 SPPG serving MBG in 41 schools or for 12,054 students. In detail, SPPG Halim provides food for 8 schools with 2,953 students, SPPG Ciracas prepares MBG for 9 schools with 3,055 students, SPPG Palmerah prepares for 11 schools with 2,987 students, and SPPG Pulogebang with 13 schools with 3,059 students.
Then, the 7 new SPPGs targeted 64 schools or 21,223 students, so that starting January 13, 2025, 11 SPPGs have been operating targeting 105 schools and 33,277 students.
"A visit will be made by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture accompanied by DKI Jakarta Regional Government officials at SLB B/C Cahaya Jaya on January 13, 2025 at 09.30," he said.
In detail, SPPG Kelapa Gading distributed MBG to 8 schools (3,081 students), SPPG Koja to 4 schools (2,991 students), SPPG Koja/Yayasan Megaverse to 5 schools (2,759 students), SPPG Kemang to 12 schools (3,094 students), SPPG Ciracas to 13 schools (3,045 students), Special SPPG Buaran Association Foundation to 7 schools (3,170 students), and SPPG Yayasan Mora Perkasa Pulogadung to 11 schools (3,083 students).
For the record, the government officially runs the MBG program simultaneously in 26 provinces, starting from Aceh, Bali, West Sumatra, North Sumatra, Riau Islands, Riau, Lampung, Banten, West Java, DKI Jakarta, Central Java, East Java, DI Yogyakarta, Gorontalo, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Maluku, North Maluku, East Nusa Tenggara, West Papua, and South Papua.

The government targets 937 MBG kitchens to be achieved by the end of January 2025 with the implementation carried out in stages in accordance with the readiness of each region.
During January to March 2025, it is hoped that the MBG program can touch three million beneficiaries, consisting of toddlers, students, PAUD, Kindergarten, SD, SMP, SMA, and pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. This number will continue to grow to reach 15 million by the end of 2025.
