Tottenham Hotspur Needs More Time To Get Rid Of Amateur Team In FA Cup
Tottenham Hotspur had to work hard and needed extra time to get rid of the Tamworth amateur team. In the duel in the third round of the FA Cup at The Lamb Ground Stadium, Sunday, January 12, 2025 evening WIB, Tottenham won 3-0 over Tamworth who played in the National Conference Division or fifth caste in the Premier League.
Tottenham, who have never won in the last four matches in the English Premier League, almost made a shame for Tamworth who competed in the bottom division. Ange Postecoglou's team had difficulty facing opponents who fought in that match.
In that match, Postecoglou did not field the best team. Almost all the players who started started more often to sit on the bench. However, there is still Pedro Porro in the back line and the new goalkeeper Antonin SkinK who played.
In front, Tottenham relied on Timo Werner. The former German national team striker was getting dimmer after failing to shine at Chelsea. Even Werner had time to return to the old club, RB Leipzig, before being recruited by Tottenham.
Werner also failed to take advantage of the opportunity when he started in that match. He was unable to break into Tamworth's goal, including in extra time.
In that match, Tottenham's attack only met a deadlock. Until finally the match remained 0-0 so that it continued with extra time before the penalty shootout.
The long wait for the Lilywhites ended when substitute Nathan Tshikuna scored an own goal in the 101st minute.
Starting from Porro's free kick which was greeted byUS Johnson and then released a cross. The ball hit Tshikuna's knee and then slid into the net itself.

Next, Johnson added one more goal. He broke into the opponent's goal in the 118th minute. The 3-0 score for Tottenham lasted until the game was over. Tamworth also failed to make a surprise in the FA Cup.
