Deddy as President of Persibo Bojonegoro clearly regretted this.
Because, according to him, even though the tension of the match is high, there should be no need for physical contact to occur on the field and hope that security for players and officials will be even better in the future.
"We regret that yesterday afternoon incident should not be necessary. We hope that in the future security can be further improved not only off the field but also on the field," said Deddy Adriyanto Wibowo in an official release received by Voi.id on Sunday, January 12.
"We can understand that yesterday's match tension was high enough that the incident that afternoon was inevitable. Our focus is to play as well as possible," he continued.
The riot occurred after Persibo's player Amir Hamzah scored a 1-1 equalizer goal in the 90+5 minute where only a few seconds of the game was over. Amir's goal was deemed invalid because before that his colleague was considered offside.
Not satisfied with the referee's decision, the supporters threw bottles of drinks at Persibo players who were celebrating.
In addition, a number of players and officials seemed to protest strongly against referees and line judges by pushing hard.
The captain of Deltras Bima Ragil also appears to be chasing the referee who fled to the sidelines.
The military police also intervened to secure the referee and the linesman from the anger of the Deltras players.
The atmosphere is increasingly unfavorable when it occurs hitting each other and kicking each other between Deltras Sidoarjo and Persibo Bojonegoro. Some supporters also seemed to enter the field of the match.
Although he realized that this incident should not have happened, Persibo admitted that he had not thought about reporting this incident to PSSI.
