This Is President Prabowo's Priority Work Delivered To Japanese PM During A Bilateral Meeting

JAKARTA - In a bilateral meeting between the Government of Indonesia and the Government of Japan at the Bogor Presidential Palace, Bogor City, West Java, this Saturday, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto revealed several priorities of his government to Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.

The work priorities conveyed by President Prabowo include food self-sufficiency and energy self-sufficiency, downstreaming, eliminating hunger, and building defense capabilities.

"Your Majesty may have studied, the government that I lead has important priorities that we will carry out," President Prabowo said at the bilateral meeting, citing ANTARA, Saturday, January 11.

The President then mentioned one by one the priority of his government's work, then gave an explanation for several priority work programs.

The first is self-sufficiency in food, the second is self-sufficiency in energy. The third is downstreaming and industrialization of our natural resources. Fourth, we want to eliminate hunger for the Indonesian people because the Indonesian people are still partially malnourished. Finally, we also want to build our capabilities in the defense sector," said the President.

Prabowo continued to invite the Japanese Government if they wanted to take part in the priority programs of the Government of Indonesia, especially in downstreaming and industrialization programs.

"We are open if the Japanese side wants to participate in Indonesia's economic development in the future," continued the President.

On the same occasion, the President also thanked Japan for its contribution and assistance in development programs in various fields in Indonesia.

"We want this to continue," said the President.

As long as the President explains his government's priority programs, PM Ishiba listens seriously and occasionally notes.

The bilateral meeting between the Government of Indonesia and the Government of Japan took place after Prime Minister Ishiba and President Prabowo met face-to-face in the President's office.

During the meeting, the Indonesian delegation consisted of ministers and members of the Red and White Cabinet, namely Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Rosan P. Roeslani, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid, and Cabinet Secretary Major Inf. Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Meanwhile, the Japanese delegation consisted of Deputy Head of Cabinet Secretariat Aoki Kazuhiko, Secretary General of the National Security Secretariat Akiba Takeo, Special Advisor to Prime Minister Mori Masahumi, Cabinet Special Advisor Iijima Isao, Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Masaki Yasushi, then Director General of Southeast Asia and Southwest Asia Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nakamura Ryo, and Secretary PM Kaihara Kentaro.
