This Tuning Company Presents Superchargers To Make Suzuki Jimny More Powerful

JAKARTA - Suzuki Jimny has long stolen the hearts of fans and automotive observers around the world. Its iconic and striking design not only captivates the eye, but also proves itself to be a formidable vehicle on the off-road terrain.

However, despite being popular, Jimny is not the most powerful in his class. Suzuki equipped it with a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder straight machine that generates 101 hp and 138 Nm torque power enough to explore various terrains, but still prioritizes practicality and efficiency.

Realizing Jimny has an underpowered machine, an Australian tuning company Harrop Engineering provides an interesting solution for Jimny owners by providing a new supercharger kit.

Launching from Carscoops, Friday, January 10, this supercharger kit is intended directly for Jimny owners who assign their cars to heavy work and has been equipped with overlanding equipment or raised wheels. This is suitable for 3-door and 5-door variants.

Thus, the supercharger kit provided by Harrop Engineering is able to provide an increase in energy to 134 hp and torques reaching 149 Nm.

This increase in power is due to the presence of a TVS900 supercharger, equipped with a recalibrated ECU, an intercooler water-to-air, a special carbon fiber airbox with an inlet of 2.5 inches, and a bypass valve that increases fuel efficiency in low RPMs.

Not only that, for Suzuki Jimny owners who pair superchargers with snorkels for cooling induction effects and aftermarket exhausts will benefit more. The company will increase its output power to 142 hp and 168 Nm torque.

Unfortunately, the kit is only compatible for Jimny with automatic gyrbox transmissions. Manual variants will require additional modifications to handle torque improvements.

Regarding the price, the supercharger kit is priced at US$10,990 or equivalent to Rp110.2 million. This price is a quarter of the price from Jimny, which is sold in the Ethiopian country for US$34,990 (Rp351.1 million).
