KKB Spreads Terror, 3 Residents Choose To Stay In Beoga, The Rest Is Evacuated

JAYAPURA - Beoga Police Chief Ipda Ali Akbar said only three civilians remained in Beoga, Puncak Regency, Papua after the KKB terror escalated. Meanwhile, most of the residents were evacuated to Timika by using civilian flights.

The three people chose to stay in Beoga because they guarded the kiosk which was their place of business, while their children and wife had already been evacuated to Timika.

"There are 39 people who were evacuated to Timika," said Beoga Police Chief Ipda Ali Akbar, Friday, April 16.

Kamtibmas in Beoga is now relatively safe. Additional troops have been deployed.

"Food aid has been carried out so that people do not have to worry about food shortages," continued Ipda Ali Akbar.

Beoga, which is in the interior of Papua, can only be reached by using a small plane with a limited number of passengers.

Civil aviation activities had stopped since KKB shot two teachers to death in Beoga, namely Oktovianus Rayo who was shot on Thursday, April 8 and Yonatan Renden was shot on Friday, April 9.

In addition, the KKB also burned down the house of Deputy Chairman I of the DPRD Puncak Menase Mayau and the house of Junaidi Sulele (Head of SMPN) in Beoga.
