Draining Rp2 Million And 4 Cellphones From A House In Depok, This Gang Pretends To Be A Police Officer
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya arrested a group of robbers who acted as members of the police. They seemed to storm the house of the criminal.
"There were 5 suspects, they pretended to be members of the National Police and carried out raids and searches," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Friday, April 16.
The suspects have the initials RM alias O, MS alias G, HW, MIA, and TW. Yusri said, this mode is strongly suspected of having the idea of the perpetrator with the initials HW. Because, he is a police dismissal.
"HW's role is a former police officer, the Police dismissed it because it was deserted. One was indeed a police dismissal, he was fired so he is no longer a member of the National Police," said Yusri.
In his last action he succeeded in seizing property in one of the houses in Bojong Gede, Depok.
"The perpetrator managed to retrieve several items from the victim's property, such as 4 cell phones, more than Rp2 million in cash and coins," said Yusri.
Then, the victim who felt that there was an irregularity reported it to the Depok Police. Thus, the report was followed up by the Metro Jaya Police Resmob.
As a result, the perpetrators were arrested in the Bojong Baru area, Depok on April 9. They can be secured based on the CCTV camera footage installed at the scene.
"This is all based on CCTV footage. So there is CCTV where the action of the five people entered the victim's house at that time and now we secure it," said Yusri.
For their actions, the perpetrators were brought to trial with Article 365 of the Criminal Code regarding violent theft. Thus, they face imprisonment for 7 years.
