Minister Of Public Works Regarding The Inauguration Of The Garuda-SPAM Sepaku Palace At IKN: There Has Been No Response From Prabowo
JAKARTA - The government will soon inaugurate a number of infrastructures in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan. Some of them are the Garuda Palace and the Coordinating Ministry (Kemenko) Office.
In its initial plan, the inauguration will be carried out by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto at the beginning of this year. However, until January 10, 2025, there has been no new information regarding the plan.
So, how will it go?
Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo said that until now there has been no response from Prabowo regarding the request for the inauguration of the infrastructure.
Thus, it is not certain whether the inauguration will continue in January or be postponed.
"Not yet, there has been no response from the President (Prabowo). But if you ask in more detail, maybe because there is already an OIKN, so the president may have discussed it with OIKN times, yes," said Dody when met by reporters at the University of Indonesia, Depok, West Java, Friday, January 10.
Dody said the infrastructure had been completed and was ready to be inaugurated. There are at least seven infrastructures, one of which is the Garuda Palace.
Meanwhile, Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Ministry of Public Works Mohammad Zainal Fatah said the inauguration of the seven infrastructures would adjust Prabowo's readiness.
"It depends on when the President inaugurated it. (We) have not received (certainty). Later, if possible, we will be notified," said Zainal.

Previously, the Head of the IKN Authority, Basuki Hadimuljono, said that seven buildings in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) would be inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto in January 2025.
The seven projects proposed to be inaugurated are the Garuda Palace and its supporting buildings, the Karangau Segment Toll Road to the Balang Island Intersection and the Sepadung Bridge Segment Toll Road.
Then, there are the Office of the Ministry of State Secretariat, the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Three, the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for One, Four and PST as well as SPAM Sepaku from the Main Distribution Network (JDU) and Customer Distribution Network (JDP).
