Dipha Barus, Who Is Authentication, Is Present At The New Single Titled BATARA
JAKARTA - Disjoki and music producer Dipha Barus introduced their latest single entitled BATARA. This song comes in collaboration with young soloist, Jinan Laetitia.
Although it was only officially released on digital streaming platforms, this song was first introduced by Dipha and Jinan through their performances at the 2024 Djakarta Warehouse Project on December 13.
Meanwhile, the BATARA presents a combination of modern electronic beats and ancient mysticalism. This concoction is presented to provide a deep musical experience for electronic music lovers.
Dipha wrote this song in 2023, after a transformative trip to his ancestral land in Tanah Karo, North Sumatra.
The BATARA is inspired by the spiritual trust of the people of Karo, where the concept represents a "higher force" in the ancient belief system of the people of Karo.
"This song is more than just music, this is a personal story," said Dipha Barus in his statement, Friday, January 10.
My trip to Tanah Karo is very spiritual, and BATARA is my way of translating that experience into music. It's about respecting my roots and sharing something authentic," he continued.

Collaboration with Jinan, said Dipha, is intended to further strengthen the song.
"I first met Jinan through a friend, and I have admired his voice and work for a long time," said Dipha.

With the theme of spirituality, connection, and nature, Dipha tries to bring mystical energy to create an image that captivates and takes listeners into a party atmosphere in the middle of the forest in Tulum or under a star in the Egyptian desert.
"This song goes beyond the limit and is perfect for a magical intimate atmosphere," said Dipha.
"I want to tell the truth about my authentic experience," he concluded.
