Siak Police Arrests Half Kilogram Sabu Dealer

JAKARTA - The Narcotics and Drugs Detective Unit of the Siak Resort Police, Riau Province, arrested one dealer and secured two packages suspected of methamphetamine-type drugs with a gross weight of 500 grams or half a kilogram.

Head of the Siak Police Narcotics Unit AKP Jailani said the arrest was made on Wednesday, April 14th and now the suspect and a number of evidence have been secured at the Siak Police Headquarters for further investigation.

The initial disclosure was made after the police received information that there were frequent narcotics transactions on Jalan Indah Kasih Gang Utama IV, Perawang Village, Tualang District. The police then conducted an investigation and found one man in the house suspected of being the place for the transaction of illicit goods.

The team immediately carried out the arrest and search of one ET male (40). After the search was carried out, it was found that two packages were suspected of being narcotics of the type of crystal methamphetamine.

"A small package was found in the pocket of the suspect's right and a large package was found in ET's bag," he said.

Furthermore, from the examination and interrogation of ET, he admitted that the evidence belonged to him. He admitted that the goods were obtained from the Republic of Indonesia, which is still being investigated.

The Narcotics Unit of the Siak Police Subsequently developed an investigation into the drug case.

On that occasion, Jailani also appealed to the people of Siak Regency to stay away from drugs.

"If anyone knows, hears or sees directly about the existence of a crime of narcotics abuse, please report it to the police. Stay away from drugs, love your family," said AKP Jailani.
