Barcelona Doesn't Deserve To Be Happy, Dani Olmo And Pau Victor's Status Is Only For A Moment
JAKARTA - Barcelona have been allowed to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor as their players entering the second half of the season.
The permit comes following the decision of the Spanish Supreme Sports Court or Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD) which received an appeal from the Blaugrana.
As a result, for the time being, Olmo and Victor may be on the Barcelona cast list while CSD analyzes the Blaugrana case at odds with La Liga and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) regarding the registration of the two players.
So far, after the CSD decision was issued on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, the front La Liga said it disagreed with the decision. They are considering filing an appeal.
"Resolution contents will be studied thoroughly for appropriate appeals, without prejudice to express their absolute disapproval," read La Liga's statement.

Olmo and Victor were both canceled by La Liga on December 31, 2024 after Barcelona missed a deadline to prove they were complying with league Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.
La Liga had confirmed that Barcelona had shown that they were able to meet certain FFP requirements on January 3, 2025. Therefore, their spending limit was extended.
However, in a joint statement with the RFEF, La Liga again canceled the registration permit, citing that the two players could not be re-registered with the club for the second time in the same season.
Barcelona then appealed the decision to CSD, by opposing the interpretation of the rule, and submitting a 52-page report to court on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
Now, the CSD is still analyzing the conflict and the final decision could take up to three months.
While CSD is still studying the case, they have decided that Olmo and Victor can play for Barcelona for a while.
This means that Olmo and Victor only have about three months with Barcelona to be safe.
If the final decision from CSD supports La Liga and RFEF, get ready for the two players to hang out again. On the other hand, Olmo and Victor can be relieved.
Meanwhile, along with the CSD decision, Olmo and Victor can be registered in the Spanish Super Cup final (Supercopa Espana) on January 13, 2025, early morning WIB.
When referring to the time it takes for CSD to make a final decision, at least Olmo and Victor can defend Barcelona approximately until March 2025.
The cases of Olmo and Victor are indeed complicated. The two players joined Barcelona permanently last summer, but were only temporarily registered through a rule that allowed the club to allocate up to 80 percent of the salaries due to injured players -- Andreas Christensen--for substitutes.
Therefore, Olmo and Victor must be re-registered on condition that Barcelona meet the rules of the La Liga FFP.
Apart from this case, Barcelona have just secured a ticket to the Spanish Super Cup final after beating the Athletic Bilbao 2-0 on Thursday, January 9, 2025, early morning WIB, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Because the CSD permit was issued late, Olmo and Victor did not take part in the semifinal match.
However, Barcelona Manager Hansi Flick is relieved that both names could be available for the top game.
"I'm very happy for these two people, but I'm also happy for the whole team. After that information, you can see what's going on on the bus, that's good."
"I think the whole club is very pleased with this decision, for this right decision."
"(Olmo and Victor) are happy. That is a good signal for us before the game because everyone also wants to show that we are a team. We also won for them," Flick said.
