4 Years Passed, Fyre Festival Visitors Can Get Compensation Of IDR 105 Million

JAKARTA - The completion of the Fyre Festival case is towards its final round. Tuesday, April 13 in New York, the ticket holder asked for compensation amounting to 7,220 US dollars or the equivalent of 105 million rupiah.

A little flashback, the Fyre Festival is a music event held in 2017. This concert is billed as the biggest failure festival of all time.

The virus started when a man named Trevor DeHaas shared a photo of a poorly looking cheese sandwich. Then, visitors who attended the event uploaded their disappointment because the facilities provided did not match what was promised.

The settlement process is being carried out between the event organizers and the 277 Fyre Festival ticket holders.

Fyre Festival ticket holders receive 105 million in compensation for deals on luxury accommodation, quality food and performers they cannot see.

“Billy (McFarland - Promoter Fyre) went to jail, ticket holders got their money back, and several documentaries were made. Now it's justice, ”said attorney Ben Meiselas on behalf of ticket holders reported by The Independent today, April 16.

Currently, Billy McFarland is in prison for six years for the Fyre Festival fraud. The stories about this festival are summarized in the original documentaries Hulu and Netflix. The plan for a settlement determination hearing will be held on May 13.
