Antam Optimistic Gold Sales Can Reach 40 Tons In 2025

JAKARTA - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) or Antam is optimistic that gold sales can reach more than 40 tons this year.

As for 2024, Antam managed to record total gold sales of 43.7 tons.

Operations and Production Director Antam Hartono said the total sales of gold in 2024 itself had not been audited.

However, Hartono admitted that he was sure based on sales data, it reached more than 40 tons.

"Although there has been no official audit results yet, we believe that the accuracy of our 2024 sales data has succeeded in selling 43.7 tons of gold," Hartono told reporters at Old Shanghai Sedayu City, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, written Thursday, January 9.

Furthermore, Hartono explained that of the total 2024 gold sales, 70 percent came from wholesale buyers.

"Yes, for the sales, which was 43.7 tons, if you make distribution, yes, approximately 70 percent is assisted from wholesale buyers. Then the other 30 percent is retail boutique, that's in addition to the 15 boutiques in big cities in Indonesia, because there are soft products and custom products," he explained.

For 2025, Hartono targets Antam's gold sales to be as good as 2024. In fact, Hartono is optimistic that it can reach more than 40 tons.

"We are targeting around 40 tons of gold, but if we move from 2024. However, it seems that Antam can sell much higher than that. Hopefully, our products will be welcomed by investors," he said.

To achieve the sales target, Antam through the Mulia Metal Processing and Purification Business Unit (UBPP Logam Mulia) launched special edition thematic gold with the theme the Wood Snake Year to welcome the 2025 Chinese New Year.

This year's Chinese New Year's gold has the theme of the Wood Snake which is expected to be a year full of wisdom, courage, and growth.

The snake motifs poured in the form of Antam gold bullion were launched for people who want to invest in gold as well as an option to collect.

The special edition product comes in two variants, namely gold bullion and gift series. Gold bars are available in sizes of 8 grams and 88 grams, while the Gift series is available in variants of 0.5 grams and 1 gram.

"This product is only launched, dedicated to customers at a maximum once a year. The design is very philosophical in accordance with the theme of the Chinese New Year for 2576 is the zodiac of a wooden snake," he said.
