MBG Perdana Di Kota Tarakan Batal Dilaksanakan

TARAKAN - The first free nutritious food program (MBG) in the city of Tarakan, North Kalimantan (Kaltara), was canceled on Monday, January 6.

Tarakan Mayor, Bustan, said that the cancellation of Tarakan City as the first running of the MBG program was the result of the meeting with representatives of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) in Tarakan City.

"There are several completeness variables such as cooking utensils and distributor utensils that have not been met. As a result, Nunukan Regency first became the first location for a free nutritious eating program," said Bustan, Wednesday, January 8.

"The link has not been used as the first running of the MBG program, even though our public kitchen building is ready on Jalan Aki Balak 613. The area has met the requirements," he continued.

He explained that several incomplete cooking utensils, including the distribution of vehicle units to school locations, had delayed the inaugural launch of President Prabowo Subianto's program.

Bustan said that for the initial stage, the Tarakan City government would collaborate with BGN representatives to conduct training to 45 selected people.

In addition, he asked BGN representatives to inform issues that could be supported by the Tarakan City Government.

"In the initial stage, we collaborated. Then the next step will be closed with the Kodim, regional apparatus. For this initial stage, we are training approximately 45 people recruited," he said.

He has also asked the OPD, namely the Health Service (Dinkes) regarding nutrition specialists who will provide materials or knowledge to these 45 people.

"We have also prepared a place for training," he said.

Bustan emphasized that the free nutritious food budget came from the state budget. The Tarakan City Government only collaborates to facilitate land.

Because the number of students in Tarakan City is around 58 thousand, it will need to be added later regarding public kitchens.

"If the allocation from the City Budget is specifically for free nutritious meals, it has not been allocated. Earlier, I conveyed the concept of collaboration when the kitchen in Aki Balak 613 runs, then later there will be more or less new building, new locations and maybe the City Government collaboration provides land, which builds from BGN. It takes 20 kitchens to prepare MBG for 58,000 students," he explained.
