Malaysia Open 2025: Lanny/Fadia Comeback Tekuk Unggulan Ketiga
JAKARTA - Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti made a comeback to beat the third seed and qualify for the second round of the Malaysia Open 2025.
The couple, who just got combined at the end of last year, came from the first game to beat host Pearly Tan/Thinaah Muralitharan with a score of 19-21, 21-14, and 21-13 on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 night.
"Alhamdulillah, we can win in this difficult match. In the first game, we were less calm at the end points, too in a hurry to kill the opponent," said Fadia.
This is Lanny and Fadia's fifth tournament as a couple. They previously made their debut at the Indonesia International Challenge in 2024 in Surabaya, East Java. At that time they came out as champions.
The three tournaments after that in the same calendar they underwent were Indonesia Masters II 100, Kumamoto Masters Japan, and China Masters.
