Mohamed Salah Uploads Photos With Alexander-Arnold And Van Dijk, Raises Speculation

JAKARTA - Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has sparked further speculation about his future by sharing cryptic photos on social media X.

The photo shows Salah standing on a free-kick with team-mates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk.

The photo was taken when they took action at Anfield in a 2-2 draw against Manchester United.

The three players will expire their contracts at Anfield at the end of this season. In the match against the Red Devils, a banner was unfurled by Liverpool supporters ahead of kick-off with the words "(Liverpool's owner) FSG gave Mo & Co their money".

Salah has repeatedly voiced his frustration over the lack of progress he has made in contract talks.

Last week, he said he was preparing for his final season at Anfield.

The 32-year-old Egyptian has so far enjoyed an amazing season, scoring 18 goals and 13 assists in the Premier League to help Liverpool build a six-point lead at the top of the table.

Negotiations over the new deal have been going on with Salah's camp for months, but no breakthrough has yet taken place.

Meanwhile, Alexander-Arnold was heavily linked with his move to Real Madrid in the summer, which has made him the main defense target following long-term injuries suffered by right-back Dani Carvajal.

Los Blancos had made an approach to sign the 26-year-old in the January 2025 transfer window last week, but their offer was quickly rejected by Liverpool.

The captain of Van Dijk's club is so far still silent about his future. However, he has spoken at length about his love for Liverpool. He is expected to commit to his future at Anfield.
