Malaysia Open 2025: Schedule Of 6 Indonesian Representatives On The First Day
JAKARTA Six of the nine Indonesian representatives will play on the first day of the Malaysia Open 2025, two of which will immediately clash.
The tournament, which is at the level of Super 1000 BWF, will start on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, until Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur.
The series of matches will start at 09.00 WIB. The mixed doubles pair Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja was the first to play.
Dejan/Gloria, who are the fifth seed, will play in the first match of Field 2. They face the host's representative, Wong Tien Ci/Lim Chiew Sien.
The other five Indonesian representatives who will take part on the first day are Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, Putri Kusuma Wardani, Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi, and Sabar Karima Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani.

The women's singles duo Gregoria and Putri Kusuma Wardani are confirmed to face each other immediately. This will be the second competitive clash between them.
Previously, this pair faced off in the first round of the Indonesia Open 2024. At that time, Gregoria defeated her partner in a two-game straight match.
The Lanny/Fadia pair will take a tough test. The women's doubles, which has just been overhauled, will meet the host's third seed Pearly Tan/Thinaah Muralitharan.
Still from the women's doubles, Febriana/Amallia, who are the fifth seed, may be able to get through the first round. This pair met non-seeded Hsieh Pei Shan/Hung En-Tzu.
This is their second competitive clash. Febriana/Amallia previously defeated the pair from China Taipei in a rubber game at the Korea Masters 2024.
Then Sabar/Reza will start their journey in this tournament against Rasmus Kjaer/Frederik Sogaard from Denmark, whom they have never fought before.
