Andien Reveals The Most Tense Performing Experience Throughout His Career

JAKARTA - Andien Aisyah through his Instagram account, told about the most tense gig experience he had ever experienced in his career, which happened last year.

The 39-year-old jazz singer told how her performing schedule in Bali almost fell apart due to airline flight schedules that had to be postponed.

That day, said Andien, started with exercise in the morning, which was then continued by filling out one of the events in Central Jakarta.

"According to the schedule, at 11.30 (WIB) I left the event venue in the Sudirman area and went straight to the airport to sing in Bali. My band children and some of the production teams were already in Bali for soundchecks, etc.," said Andien, citing his Instagram upload, Monday, January 6.

"We did get the only airline that really entered the schedule. Supposedly, initially departed at 13.30 (WIB), but they informed me that it was rescheduled to around 14.30 (WIB). On a count, it still came in because I performed at 20.30 Bali time (WITA)," he continued.

However, the flight schedule had to be postponed again until 16.50 WIB. Andien admitted that he was nervous, because the same airline canceled the flight schedule for another day.

"I kept praying that my flight would not be canceled. While nervous, I decided to do makeup & hairdo at the airport, so that I got there straight away and ready to sing," said Andien.

Various dramas are still happening at the airport. In the end, Andien's plane just took off at 17.38 WIB from Jakarta.

"Delayed a total of 4 hours from what should have been at 13.30," he said.

The one who makes you panic and panic is: I have to be on stage at 20.30 (WITA). Meanwhile, just landed in Bali at 20.00 (WITA), not including getting out of the plane, etc., "he added.

Unfortunately, conditions in Bali are also not very good. The Gemintang singer said that he had to experience congestion around the airport in Bali.

"At 20.30 (WITA) we were still in the airport area. Although it turned out that the gig was shifted to 21.00 (WITA), it was impossible for me to wait for the suitcase, while the clothes and singing shoes were all in the suitcase," he said.

Andien had to rack his brain. He also borrowed clothes from the background singers who accompanied him and his manager.

"Really, that night the theme worked hand in hand and borrowed and borrowed," he said.

Due to these conditions, the accompanying band had already appeared on stage, when Andien arrived at the location. Not long after, he went on stage, and performed as much as possible.

"Alhamdulillah, the show went well, the audience was happy, EO & clients were happy. For us performers, that's the most important thing," said Andien.

"For us performers, you really have to have a mentality 'consider it did nicely'. The audience doesn't need to know what happened backstage, basically everyone is happy to be entertained, everyone is happy," he added.
