Coordinating Minister Zulhas: IDR 6,500 Grain HPP Per Kg Of My Defense Starting January 15

Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs (Menko Pangan) Zulkifli Hasan said the government purchase price (HPP) for dry harvest unhulled rice (GKP) of IDR 6,500 per kilogram (kg) is valid starting January 15, 2025.

Previously, the purchase price of the government (HPP) for GKP was at IDR 6,000 per kg. This figure has increased by IDR 500 per kg.

Earlier it was decided when the HPP was applied unhulled, effective rice on January 15. Right, this needs Bulog preparation," he said at a press conference at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs Office, Jakarta, Monday, January 6.

"So effective unhulled rice is Rp. 6,500 purchased by rice factory farmers. Later the rice factories will be purchased by Bulog for Rp. 12,000," he continued.

The man who is called Zulhas said that the HPP for feed corn was also decided to increase by Rp. 500 per kg, so the priced corn HPP was Rp. 5,500 from the previous Rp. 5,000.

"Bulog will receive a corn price of Rp5,500. Of course it will take time, and earlier on the long side, apparently the corn harvest will start in February. That's why the price of Rp5,500 is enforced as of February 1," he said.

As previously reported, the Government has adjusted the Government Purchase Price (HPP) policy for Panen Dry Grain (GKP), rice, and feed corn commodities. This step is taken as an effort to increase production and pursue food self-sufficiency targets.

Head of NFA Arief Prasetyo Adi explained that the HPP of Panen Dry Grain (GKP), rice, and feed corn will be the basis for Perum Bulog to absorb the products of domestic farmers.

The GKP HPP and feed corn at the farmer level are adjusted to Rp6,500 per kilogram (kg) and a food corn cellphone of Rp5,500 per kg. This means that there is an increase of Rp500 for GKP and feed corn.

"This is done so that the enthusiasm of the production of a farmer continues to be encouraged and the Government's Food Reserves through Bulog will be stronger," he said in an official statement, Monday, December 30.
