Potentially Extreme Weather, BMKG Asks North Sulawesi Residents To Be Careful When Activating
MANADO - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts extreme weather has the potential to occur in the North Sulawesi (Sulut) region for the next few days.
"BMKG issued an early warning of extreme weather in the North Sulawesi region until January 8, 2025," said BMKG Coordinator for Observation and Information at the Sam Ratulangi Manado Meteorological Station, Ben A Molle, in Manado, Antara, Monday, January 6.
Most of the regencies and cities in the province of the northern tip of Sulawesi have the opportunity for moderate to heavy rain which can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds.
Therefore, residents are asked to be careful when carrying out activities in extreme weather conditions, and be aware of floods, landslides, and fallen trees.
BMKG, he said, continues to provide information on extreme weather conditions through verified information channels.
Ben explained that today extreme weather has the potential to occur in Minahasa Regency, South Minahasa Regency, Bolaang Mongondow Regency, North Bolaang Mongondow Regency, South Bolaang Mongondow Regency, East Bolaang Mongondow Regency, and Talaud Islands Regency.
Furthermore, on January 7, 2025, similar weather conditions have the opportunity to occur in Bolaang Mongondow Regency, North Bolaang Mongondow Regency, and South Bolaang Mongondow Regency.
