Encouraging Nusantara Vaccines And Red And White, PKS: Let Endorsement Faster!

JAKARTA - Member of Commission IX DPR RI Kurniasih Mufidayati urged the government to immediately support the development of the COVID-19 vaccine, the Nusantara vaccine and the red and white vaccine.

This step is a form of support for domestically produced vaccines. The goal is that Indonesia will no longer depend on imported taxis.

"We encourage the Nusantara Vaccine, the Red and White Vaccine so that it is endorsed again so that it is faster, so that we do not depend on foreign countries," said Mufida, Friday, April 16.

Mufida assessed that local vaccines could be a solution to replace imported vaccines. Moreover, if the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) stops the procurement and distribution of vaccines suddenly. Not to mention the issue of vaccine embargoes from producing countries.

"The role of the government towards domestically made vaccines is very important in the midst of the scarcity of foreign vaccines," said the PKS politician.

As is known, the Nusantara vaccine and the Red and White vaccine have not received permission from the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) to date.
