Manchester United Players Are Afraid To Appear On The Field Ahead Of Liverpool's Opponents

Ruben Amorim admitted that the recent bad performance of Manchester United had made its players afraid to appear on the field.

Manchester United have lost their last four games, including three consecutive defeats in the Premier League, without scoring a single goal.

The problem is, they have to travel to Liverpool headquarters, the leader of the Premier League standings, on Sunday, January 5, 2025, WIB night.

The unfinished problem caused anxiety in the Red Devils squad.

"They (players) feel anxious and sometimes scared on the pitch. We have to deal with it."

"We need leaders to step forward to help other players. I am the most responsible person here to improve performance."

"You can see the players trying, sometimes too anxious, too scared to play football, because this is a difficult moment."

"We will help the players to be better," said Amorim.

Ruben Amorim has led Manchester United to lose six of the 11 matches he has played since taking over from Erik ten Hag in November 2024.

This leaves the Red Devils only four positions and seven points above the relegation zone.

The negative note prompted the manager to admit after a 0-2 defeat to Newcastle United that they were in a tough battle from the shadow of relegation.

The task of the 39-year-old coach is not to be easier. You see, on a revival mission, they must be faced by Liverpool and then visit the Emirates in the Third Round of the FA Cup.

Amoriam is well aware that it is difficult to overcome the problems he faces at Old Trafford, but still supports himself to turn things around.

"You can see on my face, you can compare it to when I arrived and now."

"Of course there is a lot of pressure. For me, it's more about self-esteem and performance. It's more difficult when we don't perform well."

"When I arrived, I explained everything before, even as you speak after winning against Everton about the top four."

"I'm explaining that expecting this, but it's hard to solve all the problems and bad performances and defeats. It's very difficult."

"The only thing that can help me is training with the players. I also have my family here now."

"So, it's very different and it can help me a lot," Amorious said when asked about the pressure on managing Manchester United.

Manchester United visited Anfield with inequality from Liverpool. Both teams are very far away, 23 points.
