Ruben Amorim Is Not Afraid Of Liverpool's Racing Profile

JAKARTA - Manchester United visited Liverpool headquarters, Anfield Stadium, on Sunday, January 5, 2025, WIB night, with an inferior.

The Red Devils slumped in 14th place in the standings after losing three consecutive leagues without scoring.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are six points ahead at the top of the standings and 23 points ahead of Manchester United, who are only in four positions and seven points above the relegation zone.

Fortunately, there is a historical record where Manchester United have not lost four times in a row in the league without scoring a goal.

The last time the record was negative was in 1909. This means that there is a possibility that Ruben Amorim's team will rise and win their first victory after all four consequences defeats in all competitions, or at least take one point home from Anfield.

Amoritism also emphasized that he and his troops were not afraid of Liverpool's electoral profile.

"We knew that this would be a difficult moment and a very different context for both teams."

"They have had a strong base for years, but we are working this week to win the game. We will try to do it."

"I'm just focused on appearance. I'm not focused on defeat or what might happen."

"We are preparing for this match to win. We know what we will face. We have more time to train (this week), two days in a row. I think it can help us," Amorim said.

One of the preparations that Amoram made was to give his support to Joshua Zirkzee, who was ridiculed after being replaced just 30 minutes after the defeat against Newcastle United.

Zirkzee went straight into the aisle after leaving the field and reappeared moments later on the bench.

The Portuguese coach motivates Zirkzee to be mentally ready to face a tough match against the Reds.

"The situation is the same as other players. He had that situation during the game. It was very difficult for any player, but it could happen."

"They understand it's part of football. Sometimes they have good moments in their careers, other times they don't go well," said Amorim again.

Manchester United is in a bad period closing 2024. In the last eight matches of all competitions, they have lost six times and only won twice.
