Get Ready, The Pekanbaru 'XIII Koto Kampar Toll Tariff Will Rise Soon

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) will soon impose a new tariff for the Pekanbaru 'XIII Koto Kampar Toll Road.

This follows the issuance of the Decree (SK) of the Minister of Public Works Number 3127 of 2024 concerning tariff adjustments on the toll road.

Executive Vice President (EVP) of the Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya, Adjib Al Hakim, stated that this tariff adjustment is a strategic step to maintain the sustainability of toll road investments and maintain service standards for road users.

"We ensure that tariff adjustments are accompanied by increased facilities and quality of services in accordance with the Minimum Service Standard (SPM)," said Adjib in a written statement, Saturday, January 4, 2025.

Adjib added that during the socialization period, his party was committed to providing intensive information to the public. Thus, road users understand the background and mechanism of adjusting this tariff.

"With (the existence) of tariff adjustments to be made on these sections, Hutama Karya appealed to all road users to monitor the latest information on social media @hutamakaryatollroad and continue to drive in accordance with the rules and regulations that apply on toll roads," he said.

The tariff for this toll road is set on December 25, 2022 and the tariff adjustment has never been made after. So, this is the first time this toll road has been adjusted.

According to Adjib, since operating, the Pekanbaru 'XIII Koto Kampar Toll Road has contributed to the smooth running of transportation and the local economy.

The presence of this toll road has cut the travel time from Pekanbaru to Koto Kampar, which previously took 1.5 to 2 hours, to only about 30 minutes.

This toll road also shortens access from Pekanbaru to the West Sumatra region.

"Through this toll road, Hutama Karya also plays an active role in supporting the people's economy according to the Astacita vision of the Prabowo-Gibran Government through the development of local MSMEs by prioritizing 70 percent of tenant land in rest areas for MSME actors and providing rental rates below commercial prices," said Adjib.

For your information, the Pekanbaru 'XIII Koto Kampar Toll Road which stretches along 56 kilometers is equipped with two rest areas, namely at KM 36 Line A and B equipped with toilets, mosques, and other facilities.

In addition, routine maintenance of road guardrails, painting concrete barriers, planting trees, and adding flower pots for reforestation and beautification continues to be carried out continuously.

"We hope that this tariff adjustment will be in line with the quality of the toll roads felt by users," he added.
