Government Prepares IDR 20 Trillion Funds To Save MSME Loans To Migrant Workers
Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar said that the Government is preparing savings and loan funding with a total of IDR 20 trillion for MSME players, the creative economy, and migrant workers.
He explained that this funding aims to increase accessibility of capital and provide financial convenience to MSME players, cooperatives, creative economy players, and migrant workers.
"A type of savings and borrowing or cheap credit given by the State or the Government. The amount of revolving loan funds at the Ministry of Cooperatives will be increased," said Coordinating Minister Muhaimin quoting Antara.
Muhaimin explained that this funding adds to the existing types of capital from the government, such as KUR loans and one of the SOEs, namely PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM).
The government will also create a special loan program for Indonesian migrant workers, especially for those who need capital for training, aircraft departure tickets, to administrative matters.

"Indonesian migrant workers who want to go abroad need money for training, cost structure, departure tickets, training, and documents. We provide loans with very low interest rates," said Muhaimin.
This low interest savings and loan funding program, he said, would be followed up with the Ministry of Finance.
The funding scheme, he continued, will duplicate a system that has been successfully implemented by PNM through PNM Mekaar, namely capital for pre-sesejahtera women and MSMEs.
