North Sumatra State Museum Wins Vulnerable Group Friendly Public Service Award
JAKARTA - The North Sumatra State Museum, managed by the Department of Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy (Disbudparekraf) of North Sumatra Province, received an award as Public Service for the Best Vulnerable Group in the Monitoring and Evaluation of Performance in Organizing Public Services (PEKPPP) 2024.
The head of the North Sumatra Disbudparekraf, Zumri Sulthony, stated that this award reflects the real commitment of the North Sumatra Museum UPT in providing inclusive services, especially for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, and people with disabilities.
"This award proves that we are working hard to provide facilities that prioritize comfort and accessibility for all people," Zumri said in Medan, as quoted by ANTARA.
He added that this achievement was an impetus for the North Sumatra State Museum to continue to innovate, not only in public services in the cultural sector, but also in increasing awareness of the importance of fair and inclusive services.
"We are proud of this recognition. This strengthens our determination to make the museum a friendly, comfortable, and open study space for all levels of society," he added.
Facilities and services in museums have been designed to ensure easy access for vulnerable groups. This step is part of the long-term mission of the North Sumatra Disbudparekraf to provide responsive public services to the needs of the community.
