Wayne Osmond, Guitarist Of The Osmonds Band Dies

JAKARTA - One of the legendary musicians breathed his last in early 2025. He is Wayne Osmond, guitarist and founder of the band brothers, The Osmonds.

Wayne reportedly died on January 2 yesterday at his residence after suffering a stroke. The news was confirmed by the family with an announcement on Instagram.

Donny Osmond, who is Wayne's younger brother, shared his brother's face in a black and white photo. He was grateful to have been beside Wayne in his last moments.

"My brother Wayne died peacefully last night due to a stroke. I am very grateful for the opportunity to visit him at the hospital before he died," he wrote in his Instagram upload caption, @donnyosmond.

Donny remembers his brother as a figure who emitted happiness for the surroundings. He is known for his attitude which always cares and is full of love.

"Wayne brings so much light, laughter, and love to everyone who knows her, especially me. She is a very optimistic person and loved by everyone," he explained.

Merrill Osmond, Wayne's younger brother and vocalist of The Osmonds, felt that he had lost his loved one.

"I will miss him so much. I am very grateful to have grown up with one of the sons of my greatest Father. Until I see him again, know that he is loved," he said in a recent Facebook post.

Wayna Osmond has been one of the initiators of The Osmonds' birth since the late 50s. They debuted at The Andy Williams Show NBC on December 20, 1962 and have released 10 albums, with Steppinin' Out (1979) as their last LP.
