Profile Jo Yuri, Former IZ*ONE Member Who Steals Attention At Squid Game 2

JAKARTA - Jo Yuri's presence at Squid Game 2 seems to have won the hearts of the audience. If in the first season there was actress Jung Ho Yeon, in this sequel, Yuri's presence often stole focus.

Yuri plays a character named Kim Jun Hee, a woman who is pregnant. Unexpectedly, in the game he meets his girlfriend, Lee Myung Gi, played by Im Siwan.

Jo Yu Ri was born in Munhyeon-dong, Busan, South Korea on October 22, 2001. He is the eldest of two children, with a younger brother named Yoonhee four years younger than him.

Having an interest in music since childhood, Yuri learns several musical instruments. At least he can play guitar, piano and even drums.

At the age of 16, he participated in the Idol School program, the forerunner of the group fromis_9. But unfortunately he was unable to reach the final round to qualify.

It seems that he was indeed prepared for another more stunning road. Jo Yuri managed to steal the attention of one of the Produce48 contestants in 2018.

With his talent and hard work, Yuri managed to prove himself worthy of his debut. In the same year, he made his debut as a member of IZ*ONE specializing in vocals.

Despite the amount of support for IZ*ONE, the group was forced to disband according to the original concept. He had to separate from Sakura, Chaewon (now member of Le Sserafim) to Wonyoung (IVE).

Yuri started a solo career in October 2021 through the single Glassy, and has released two mini albums (EO) under Wake One label. In addition, Yuri also released several soundtracks for The Popular to My Lovely Liar dramas.

Libra's sister made her acting debut on the web series titled Mimicus in 2022. In the same year she also appeared at Work Later, Drink Now. But of course his appearance in Squid Game 2 made his name soar.
