Ford F-Series Dominance in US Still Hard to Stop, Leading Pickup Truck Sales for 48th Straight Year
JAKARTA - Ford has strengthened its position as the leader in pickup truck sales in the United States (US) through the F-Series model. The manufacturer has pocketed more than 33 million units and made it the best-selling pickup truck since 1977, meaning it is the most sold in the United States compared to other truck brands (such as Chevrolet Silverado, Ram, etc.).
In addition, the iconic F-Series has also made Ford the brand with the highest overall sales (passenger cars, SUVs, etc.) in the US for 43 consecutive years, beating all other brands and models.
President of Ford Blue, Andrew Frick said this achievement was not only from the manufacturer providing superior vehicles but also from customer trust in the F-Series car.
"The lasting legacy of the F-Series is not only the result of our relentless efforts to make improvements, but also a reflection of the trust between Ford, dealers, and our customers," Andrew said on the brand's official website, Thursday, January 2.
Today, Ford sells a variety of F-Series models ranging from the F-150 celebrating its 50th anniversary to the F-600 for heavier-duty work.

The manufacturer founded in 1903 also offers various F-Series options for its customers in the US, such as Flexible-fuel, pure gasoline, hybrid, diesel, to pure electric on the F-150 Lightning.
In the pure gasoline variant, the Ford F-150 is offered with a V6 engine configuration that has a power of 325 hp to 450 hp. Meanwhile, the V8 engine is only offered on the Raptor variant with a power of 700 hp to 720 hp.
The brand nicknamed "Blue Oval" has also offered a hybrid variant since 2021 on this pickup truck equipped with a 3.5-liter PowerBoost V6 engine that has a power of 430 hp and 773 Nm of torque.
Ford also flexibly offers a pure EV variant on the F-150 Lightning model which offers a dual electric motor drive with a power of 452 hp and 580 hp.
The battery on this car has a capacity of 98 kWh which provides an impressive range of 390 km. A 131 kWh package is also presented, providing a range of 510 km.
