Slavia Praha Vs Arsenal 0-4: Lacazette Scores Two Goals To Bring Arsenal To Win The Quarter-finals

JAKARTA - Arsenal won 4-0 at Slavia Praha in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-final at Sinobo Stadium, Prague, Czech Republic, Thursday local time (Friday WIB), in order to lock up tickets to the semifinals.

Two goals from Alexandre Lacazette and one each from Nicolas Pepe and Bukayo Saka ensured Arsenal won the quarter-final against Slavia with a score of 5-1 on aggregate, according to Antara's records according to the official UEFA website.

In the semifinals, Arsenal will face Villarreal who strolled past Dinamo Zagreb.

Entering the match with a compulsory win and losing the injured Kieran Tierney and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who was hospitalized with malaria, Arsenal continued to appear aggressive over the hosts.

The game had only been running for 14 minutes when Emile Smith Rowe broke into the host's goal using a throw-up ball from Saka's shot that was bounced off by goalkeeper Ondrej Kolar into the post.

Unfortunately, the goal was later disallowed by referee Cuneyt Cakir and VAR, who spent three minutes reviewing the goal process to claim that Smith Rowe had already been caught offside.

However, a minute after their goal was disallowed Arsenal was really able to open their lead through Pepe who coldly tricked Kolar after receiving a pass from Smith Rowe.

Disaster for the hosts continued because in the 20th minute Saka was tackled by defensive midfielder Jacub Hromada in the forbidden box and the result of a penalty kick was successfully converted by Lacazette to double Arsenal's lead.

The Gunners continued to bombard the Slavia defense and in the 24th minute, they widened the lead to 3-0 with Saka's stabbing from the right before firing a shot that Kolar couldn't stop.

The 3-0 score for Arsenal lasted until halftime and in the 77th minute, Lacazette scored his second with a powerful strike which did not allow Kolar to anticipate to solidify the visitors' lead.

Four minutes from normal, Gabriel Martinelli almost got the Slavia wound, unfortunately, his shot was still flying over the side of the net, but Arsenal won 4-0 and progressed to the semifinals with a 5-1 aggregate win.
