Prabowo Calls The 2024 State Budget Managed Wisely And Carefully
JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said, the implementation and realization of the 2024 State Budget went well because it was managed wisely and carefully amid global challenges full of uncertainty and pressure on the world economy.
"It turns out that we can still manage state finances prudently, wisely, carefully and we are still able to control our deficit in a corridor that is still quite careful and quite capable of being managed," said President Prabowo Subianto as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 31.
Prabowo added that the cash management from the 2024 State Budget was officially closed starting Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at 00.00 WIB.
During the meeting, the President received a report regarding state revenues from taxation, customs and Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP).
He concluded, amid pressure on the world economy that affects commodity prices, including oil and gas, state finances are still managed wisely.
Meanwhile, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that the state budget (APBN) experienced a deficit of IDR 401.8 trillion or 1.81 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) as of November 2024.
Even though the state budget has a deficit, said Sri Mulyani, the primary balance is still recorded as a surplus of IDR 47.1 trillion.
