DENPASAR - Lucinta Luna's video of 'riding' a dolphin went viral on social media. Lucinta Luna holding a dolphin fin in the pool.
Through an Instagram account, Davina Veronica highlighted Lucinta Luna holding a dolphin fin. "This is really really stupid, uneducated, cruel and heartless. It's really sad to see this," wrote the actress who is also an animal observer.
In the viral caption, it is stated that Lucinta Luna's action was carried out at the Dolphin Lodge, Sanur, Denpasar, Bali. Head of Sub-Division for Administration of the Bali Conservation and Natural Resources Agency (BKSDA) Prawono Meruanto said that if it was true that the location was in Dolphin Lodge, then legally the location should have been closed since April 15, 2020.
"I have reported everything to the leadership in Jakarta, which is certain that there will be a letter of warning regarding the incident," said Meruanto, when contacted Thursday, April 15.
His party checked directly to Dolphin Lodge. But the location is closed.
"Earlier I also checked there and it was not activity from morning to evening," he added.
Permit for Dolphin Lodge, Sanur, confirmed by Meruanto, has been dead since 2018 and cannot be extended again.
"We are waiting for the leadership's direction. There is nothing we can do, because indeed the place has been closed since last year. The location has a dead permit since 2018 and cannot be extended again," he explained.
"That depends on them. They are stealing or what, but what is certain is that their permit is dead. So, they appealed and all kinds but we don't know yet because, it was our leader who spoke with their side yesterday," he continued.
"By permission, the actual location is not in Sanur. The location is in Jembrana. Because our dead permit is closed and they do not take care of the permit process anymore. We are reporting the incident because we have made efforts to close it, according to the direction from the center to close the location. because of the permit, "said Meruanto.
At that location there are 7 captive dolphins or puppies.
"The last permit issued by the ministry is 7 tails. "The dolphins do have the results of dosing, the results of the puppies and all kinds of things that are (obtained) from nature," he said.
