GIS Delivered PPE And Medical Devices To Medical Personnel At Semen Gresik Hospital
JAKARTA - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) provided assistance for medical devices and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical personnel at Semen Gresik Hospital (RSSG) worth Rp1.93 billion.
Head of the SIG Corporate Communication Department, Sigit Wahono, said that this assistance was a form of the company's support in handling COVID-19 which has now become a global pandemic.
"Medical personnel are at the forefront of handling COVID-19. Compliance with PPE is a vital requirement so that all medical personnel can work safely and calmly," said Sigit in a statement received by VOI, Monday, April 6.
The company handed over PPE assistance in the form of medical protective clothing, surgical masks, boots and shoe protectors. Meanwhile, the medical devices that were handed over were a ventilator, compressor, mobile ventilator, portable hepafilter and other medical devices.
The aid was symbolically handed over by the Head of the CSR SIG Department, Edy Saraya to the Head of RSSG, dr. Muchdor, SP.B FINACs in Gresik.
RSSG representatives welcomed the assistance provided by SIG to support the smooth running of health services for the people of Gresik and its surroundings. Head of RSSG, dr. Muchdor, SP.B FINACs said that this assistance is very meaningful in the midst of the scarcity of PPE and limited medical equipment in hospitals.
"Assistance from SIG is very helpful in providing PPE to ensure the safety of medical personnel at RSSG in providing optimal services, especially in dealing with patients with COVID-19 symptoms," he said.
To date, SIG has provided assistance worth IDR 15 billion for the response to COVID-19 in all company operational areas. The assistance was provided in the form of medical devices, PPE, hand sanitizers, spraying disinfectants at public facilities in the company environment, as well as socialization of prevention of transmission of COVID-19.
