Police: Increased The Number Of Vehicles Leaving Jakarta D-3 New Year 2025

The National Police noted that the number of vehicles leaving Jakarta was increasing three days before the turn of 2025. The increase was based on crossing data at five toll gates (GT) as of December 27.

"The flow of traffic at various main toll gates shows an increase in activity, both for vehicles leaving and entering Jakarta," said the Spokesperson for Operation Candle 2024, Kombes Syamsu Ridwan in his statement, Saturday, December 28.

The number of vehicles leaving Jakarta via GT Cikampek Utama is 26,755 vehicles. Meanwhile, around 20,037 vehicles entered.

Then, the number of vehicles leaving Jakarta via the Kalihurip Utama GT towards Bandung was 31,447 vehicles. On the other hand, around 27,583 vehicles.

"Vehicles exited Jakarta via GT Cikupa 58,805 units and entered 48,741 units. Through GT Merak, which left Jakarta 9,164 units and entered 8,376 units," he said.

Finally, there were 28,105 vehicles leaving Jakarta via GT Ciawi. Meanwhile, around 27,621 vehicles entered.

In addition, the National Police also recorded 286 accidents. Of these, 388 people suffered minor injuries.

"The victim died 35 people, seriously injured 46 people, slightly injured 388 people," said Syamsu.

The National Police predicts that the peak of backflow will occur on Sunday, December 29. Therefore, people are advised to prepare for the trip well.

"Make sure the vehicle is in prime condition, secure the house before leaving, and obey traffic rules. Avoid convoys on the highway and always be aware of weather changes," said Syamsu.
