JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal (Minerba) reports that it has completed 830 applications for Work Plan and Budget Licensing (RKAB) for mineral and coal commodities.

"As of December 26, 2024, the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Mineral and Coal has completed 830 applications for RKAB licensing for mineral commodities for the period 2024-2026," Tri said as quoted on Saturday, December 28.

He detailed, of these, 336 permits were approved for production, 224 permits were approved without production, 262 were rejected, 6 were in the evaluation stage, and 2 were waiting for a response.

Tri emphasized that all improvements in RKAB governance are in principle necessary because of the withdrawal of authority of around 1,900 permits from the Provincial Government to the Central Government, so that permits originating from the regions are needed for various adjustments to be able to follow all the provisions and compliance that have been stipulated in the laws and regulations.

Tri further explained that the commodities that received approval included 207 permits for nickel, 107 permits for tin, 37 permits for bauxite, 130 permits for galena, 90 permits for gold and mineral followers, 74 permits for iron, 9 permits for copper, and 56 other commodities. permit.

As for coal commodities, the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal has completed 927 permits, with details of 736 permits approved, 66 rejected, 120 returned, and 5 applications in the further evaluation process.

Tri explained that the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal also continues to update the approval data for RKAB changes. As of December 20, 2024, of the 120 RKAB changes documents that were previously returned for repair, 118 have been corrected by the applicant. Of these, 79 documents were approved, 19 were rejected, 17 were returned for further repair, and 3 documents are still in the evaluation process.

Tri emphasized that all stages of evaluation were carried out carefully and in accordance with applicable regulations.
